E diminuiscono i consumi «colti» come le ricerche scolastiche a vantaggio di chat e messanger. Lo rivela il rapporto annuale della Società Italiana di Pediatria con una indagine svolta su un campione nazionale di 1200 studenti delle scuole medie inferiori di età compresa tra gli 12 e i 14 anni. L'utilizzo tra gli adolescenti del Pc, ed in particolare di Internet, è cresciuto, dal 2000 ad oggi, in modo costante e netto. Ad entrare ogni giorno in rete è, oggi, il 42,4% degli adolescenti, mentre solo il 12% non si collega mai in Internet. Oggi le ragioni prevalenti per le quali ci si collega in rete sono proprio: messenger (75,9%), chattare (69,9%), scaricare musica/video (76,4%) e, soprattutto, utilizzare You-tube (76,5%). Impennata anche nell'utilizzo della webcam, probabilmente favorito dal fatto che oggi è integrata nella maggior parte dei PC. Nel 2005 la possedeva il 30% ed era scarsamente utilizzata oggi la possiede oltre il 60% e il 41% la utilizza abitualmente. Il computer è, inoltre, diventato sempre più «personal», nel senso che oltre il 50% lo ha nella propria camera. «Un aspetto - sottolinea il Presidente della SIP Pasquale Di Pietro - che evidenzia come i ragazzi siano sempre più autonomi, e probabilmente poco controllati, nella navigazione in Internet». PIU' ALCOL E DROGA Continua a crescere il già alto consumo di fumo, alcol, droga da parte degli adolescenti. È uno degli aspetti più allarmanti emerso dell'edizione 2008 dell'indagine annuale della Società Italiana di Pediatria su «Abitudini e stili di vita degli adolescenti». Fra il 2007 e il 2008 i fumatori sono passato dal 23,6% al 30,2%. I ragazzi che hanno raccontato nell'indagine dei pediatri di fumare cannabis sono passato dal 34,9 al 41,7% (un aumento del 19%), beve vino il 40,5 (+2%) e si è ubriacato oltre un ragazzo su 10 (+12% rispetto allo scorso anno). «Il consumo di fumo alcol e droga in età così precoce - afferma Pasquale Di Pietro, Presidente della Società Italiana di Pediatria - rappresenta una vera emergenza per affrontare la quale è necessario un intervento tempestivo e congiunto di famiglia, scuola, pediatri e Istituzioni. Intervento che deve comprendere: la realizzazione di campagne istituzionali, specificatamente rivolte agli adolescenti, di sensibilizzazione e informazione sui rischi derivanti dal fumo, dal consumo di alcol e dall'assunzione di sostanze (così come sono state realizzate in altre nazioni); una azione capillare, dello stesso tenore, da parte della scuola; un controllo maggiore esercitato dai genitori che spesso (specie per quanto riguarda il fumo) sono più tolleranti del dovuto; un ruolo più incisivo dei pediatri di sostegno e indirizzo alla famiglia per prevenire o intervenire sul fenomeno». Wallydore Eschenbach (née Jaross), a cousin of his mother, adopted him in 1946. After the war, he studied the piano with his foster mother. He later studied piano with Eliza Hansen and in 1955 he enrolled at the Musikhochschule in Cologne, studying with Hans-Otto Schmidt-Neuhaus. At age 11, he had witnessed Wilhelm Furtwängler conduct, which had a great impact on him. In 1959, he started studying conducting with Wilhelm Brückner-Rüggeberg .[edit]Musical careerAs a pianist, Eschenbach has won numerous first-place piano competition prizes, including first prize in the Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey, Switzerland in 1965. In 1964, he made his first recording (of Mozart) for Deutsche Grammophon and signed a contract with the label. Eschenbach continued to study conducting with George Szell, with whom he worked for more than three years. In addition, Herbert von Karajan was his mentor for nearly twenty-five years.In 1981, Eschenbach became principal guest conductor of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and was chief conductor from 1982 to 1986.
