Leon was at Guitar Center, Jacksonville one day and a man heard him play.
"Dude, your really good. Wanna do a gig for me ?"
Obviously he said yes.
The dude also mentioned 300 bucks, so he totally went.
The dude told him where it was at, and what it was for.
It turns out he was opening up a place for guitar lessons,
and he wanted some people to play at the grand opening.
So he showed up there,
but since Leon is still stuck with his Dean,
a dude there named Thomas let him borrow his white Gibson Les Paul Custom. ("its the most amazing guitar I have EVER played." he says.)
So he did the gig, and it turns out the news was there to tell people about the place.
Leon and the band he played with played a cover of Velvet Revolver's "Slither".
The news filmed it,
then asked Leon for an interview.
The interview lasted for about 10 minutes, but they only put a little piece of it on the news. Oh well :)
So all that showed up on the local 10 o clock news.
