*Neuropsych ological evaluation or interview is conducted with all BIS outpatient clients.
Pre-Admiss ion Consult Services: Staff assist referral sources to identify from referral information an appropriate outpatient evaluation or clinic service for clients referred. Clinic options are:
Vocational Clinic
Medical Evaluation Clinic
BIS Program Feasibility Clinic
Video teleconferencing is increasingly being used to help with pre-admission service planning.

The CSBs and state facilities serve children and adults who have or who are at risk of mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, or substance use disorders. Virginias state-run facilities provide highly-structured, intensive services and consist of: seven mental health facilities, five mental retardation training centers, a psychiatric facility for children and adolescents, a medical center, a psychiatric geriatric hospital and a center for behavioral rehabilitation (SVP). For placement in state facilities, patients are initially evaluated and referred from local CSBs. Catherine Wilson, USN (ret), Executive Director, Virginia Wounded Warrior ProgramThu, 04 Dec 2008 05:00:43 -0800 by WWRCvirginiagovThe Virginia Wounded Warrior Program is designed to provide timely supplemental behavioral health, rehabilitation services, and support to Virginias veterans, members of the Virginia National guard, Virginia residents in the Armed Forces Reserves, and their family members, who are coping with the effects of combat/operational stress and other combat-related injuries resulting from their service and sacrifice in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Program focuses on traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress disorders and operates in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services and the Virginia Department of Rehabilitation Services. The Program will be administered through three regional directors working closely with existing local Community Services Boards.
