This poor quality footage is among the few surviving examples of 1930's Television. Somebody recorded this with a 8mm camera that didn't record sound. This brief footage provides rare insight into early TV.
During the 70's the BBC erased or discarded a low of topical programs. This one is called "Young Nation" and was a news magazine program. Only a few minutes survive of the program. This footage features an interview with ABBA; The only reason the footage survives is because ABBA's record label requested a copy before the BBC discarded the mastertapes. Kinda shocking that the BBC would erase something like this.
